Design weeks reached recently the creative and cultural scene in many cities of the Middle east:
Beirut Design Week is at the 6th edition, taking place from May 19 to May 26, 2017, in different locations across the city. More than 150 events are planned: exhibitions, talks, workshops, conferences and competitions. The latest edition attracted 25000 participants from Lebanon and abroad. The event main objectives are to strengthen the creative economies and foster entrepreneurship.
Amman Design Week second edition will take place from 6 to 14 October 2017. It is implemented as a learning, exchange and collaborations platform to empower designers and establish the city as a creative, design, and modern Arab culture hub.
Dubai Design Week was established in 2015 with the objective to allow the participants to discover and engage with design. This year edition will take place from the 13 to 18 November 2017. The programme will introduce Dubai design scene and Dubai design community.
Other design events were started recently across the region such as the Saudi Design Week, Istanbul Design Week, and Cairo Design Week.
